Audiovisual (AV) Resources

An Audiovisual or AV Resource can enhance a presentation by utilizing an LCD projector, TV cart, computer, speakers, microphone, Zoom or Skype Meetings, videos, etc

Event Technical Support and Media Production services meet the audio and video (AV) needs of instructors, researchers, and administrators by providing fee-based AV support tailored to their requirements. From presentation support to a fully managed AV environment, we have the staff, expertise, and equipment to assist you with:

Non-Technical Event Supplies, Equipment, and Services

Non-technical event supplies and equipment such as tables, chairs, pipe and drape, and risers.  Non-technical event services such as custodial support, furniture setup, and more.

Event Coordination Assistance (For non-Student Center Buildings)

Events that occur either on University grounds or in campus buildings usually require coordination with Facilities and Campus Services.  We can advise you on Cornell policies, fire and safety resources, and important steps to a successful event, including placing work requests for services.

Event Services:

  • Arranging existing furniture or procuring specialty items

  • Custodial services, interior or exterior clean up before, during, and after an event
  • Electrical hookup and onsite electrician
  • Interior or exterior wayfinding signage creation and placement
  • Tent site preparation, including underground utility discovery and lawn maintenance
  • Recycling and sustainable refuse removal
  • Venue location and set up consultation
  • Short term storage
  • Pickup/delivery services
  • Weight load determination

Event Equipment: 

  • Stage setup, placement, and other support

  • White fencing placement
  • Risers with optional sound baffles
  • Trash and recycling receptacles
  • Radio communication support

Event Rentals:

  • Stanchions (PVC, wood, or chrome)

  • Podiums (open or closed)
  • Pop-up tents (10x10 or 10x20)
  • Flags (U.S., N.Y.S., C.U.)
  • Coat racks
  • Barricades
  • Tables (6ft. rectangular) and chairs

Event Advertising

The Student Centers Support Team provides digital signage event advertising services to anyone reserving space within Appel Commons Community Center, Robert Purcell Community Center, Willard Straight Hall.  Registered Student Organizations can advertise their event, regardless of the event location, on the Student Center digital signage; free of charge.  To learn more about this service, send an email to CC Digital Signage Request.

Please note that Student Center digital signage requires media that is 16:9 horizontal and JPEG or PowerPoint files are accepted.
