Event Requestor Best Practices

Below are best practices for Event Requestors completing Event Request Forms.  If you have any questions, concerns, or need additional training, contact Scheduling@Cornell Support Monday-Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm at 607-253-8368 or in the office at 206 Robert Purcell Community Center.

  1. Complete the Event Request Form as far in advance as you can.  You will want to give the location’s scheduler and the University Events Team as much time as you can to review your event’s needs and access any permits, contracts, and licenses you might need.  Additional information
  2. Be as detailed as you can on the Event Request Form.  Attach flyers, agendas, invoices, drawings, etc to help explain what you are planning to the location’s scheduler and the University Events Team.
  3. Make sure that you have done your homework on the location you are requesting.  Read the location’s information in 25Live and contact the location’s scheduler if you have questions.  Requesting a room that is not appropriate for your event will cause a delay in getting your event processed.  Additional information
